Hot Art Wet City – Call for Submissions

Hot Art Wet City’s annual immature nude art show Boobies & Wieners is back for a fifth, filthy year. This time, they’re partnering with The Gallery of BC Ceramics (1359 Cartwright St, Vancouver) for a quickie weekend show on Granville Island. As always expect to see the walls filled with explicit art from some of the best and dirtiest Vancouver artists. From the crass to the cartoonish, there’s sure to be something sexy to appeal to you.

Join them at the opening reception on Thursday September 28 from 6pm to see the provocative work and meet some of the hot artists. The show only runs through the weekend, so don’t by shy—even though viewer discretion is advised.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Email info@hotartwetcity.com a jpg of your submission for consideration (in-progress or final art), along with details of size, price, materials and any other relevant information. They accept paintings, drawings, small sculpture, photography, digital, and printed works with a focus on figurative, narrative, and illustrative art. Abstract and conceptual work will not be considered. And be sure your work contains nudity—this is not a subtle nude show. The dirtier and more immature, the better. Due to space constraints, we’ll only accept one submission per artist at a maximum framed size of 24 inches (width or length). Sorry, local drop off and pickup only; shipped art will not be accepted. Commission is 50%.

Submission deadline  is Friday September 22 at 5pm.

Drop-off at the Gallery of BC Ceramics from September 22–26 (11am–5pm) – be sure to submit your jpg in advance! DO NOT BRING IN YOUR ART UNLESS YOU’VE RECEIVED APPROVAL. Late submissions will not be accepted.
