Exhibit your work at the Ocean Artworks outdoor gallery

The Granville Island Cultural Society (GICS) is a non-‐profit society founded in 2001 having as its mission to manage, oversee and support such cultural facilities and programs as may be effective for the advancement of arts and culture on Granville Island.
The GICS is seeking a variety of artwork for a two dimensional, outdoor, site specific work. Your design/art will be printed onto weatherproof aluminum panels with a large format pigment based printer.
Successful applicants will develop a design/artwork and collaborate with the GICS to produce a large scale pigment based ink print on aluminum panel. You will be fully supported by an artist’s technician for the transfer of your image to aluminum panel.
You are encouraged and welcome to sell individual works from your exhibit. The Granville Island Cultural Society receives a 20% commission on all works sold.
Please submit the following information in hardcopy or electronic format:
➢ A brief description of your proposed exhibition including:
• a working title
• an artist’s statement about the exhibition
• details of the artwork including size and medium
➢ Photographs of the exhibition. JPEG images are welcome.
➢ Artist biography, resume and website link if available.
➢ Incomplete submissions will not be selected for jury process.
➢ It is expected that the artwork submitted in the proposal will be the artwork displayed during the exhibition.
