Immerse yourself in a three day workshop and discover what a powerful, creative, and FUN tool the iPad can be. Receive step by step instruction as you learn how to draw, paint and create using nothing but your iPad. We’ll start by covering some iPad basics and work our way up to creating
digital paintings from scratch. Along the way we will cover photo editing; colour mixing; what pixel and resolution mean and why they are so important; how to get photos from your camera onto your iPad; how to set a custom canvas size in Procreate; digital collage (so cool!); working in layers… and SO MUCH MORE! Unleash the amazing potential that is hidden in your iPad. It’s not just for checking e-mail and surfing the web!
Required for this workshop: • *iPad or iPad mini – Any version with built in camera that will allow you to load the following apps:
• Procreate ($6.99)
• Snapseed (Free)
• Paper by 53 + full tool set (Free)
(Note: These 3 apps are required and must be loaded onto your iPad prior to the workshop)
• Stylus. There are many to choose from, just bring what works for you. Doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive, just functional. You can purchase a stylus from London Drugs, Opus, Staples etc. (If you want something fancy, my favourite is the Pencil, by 53. Available online and I’ve seen them at Staples.)
• Notebook and pen/pencil
• Digital Camera (Don’t worry if you don’t have one. The built in iPad camera will suffice.)
• Paintbrush type stylus. Bring it if you have one, but don’t worry if you don’t. (I use a Sensu Solo
brush stylus. Approx $30 at Opus.)
